Излезе от печат книгата "Храмовете, посветени на св. Николай в селата Долна и Горна Вереница" от Катерина Дюлгерова. В нея е представен резултатът от цялостното проучване на две църкви посветени на свети Николай Мирликийски в селата Долна и Горна Вереница. Изследването е фокусирано върху архитектоника на иконостасите, иконография на стенописната украса и иконите (с техните особености), хронологично изяснени в контекста на прехода от Средновековие към Възраждане, а тяхната нова атрибуция е аргументирана безспорно. Съществувалите проблемите по датирането и атрибуцията на стенописите и иконите в двата паметника са разрешени чрез предложени, и защитени с факти, ясни и достоверни теории. Близкото местоположение на двата едноименни храма, както и сходствата в историческата им съдба, и иконографско съдържание създадено в две, последвали една след друга, епохи мотивират автора да приложи методика за синхронно изследване. Постигнат е обзорен историко-документален преглед и анализ на ранните свидетелства за селищата и храмовете в резултат на новооткрити, непубликувани документи за двата храма. Въведеният в изследването модел за едновременното им разглеждане е пионерски похват сред проведените научните изследвания в конкретната област на знанието в България. Книгата на изследователката Катерина Дюлгерова е осъществен принос за безспорното отличаване на новите атрибуции и датирания на стенописите и в двата паметника.

The book "Temples Dedicated to St.Nicholas in the Villages of Dolna and Gorna Verenitsa" by Katerina Dyulgerova was published. The book presents a comprehensive study of two churches dedicated to Saint Nicholas Mirlikiyski in the villages of Dolna and Gorna Verenitsa and includes: the architecton of the iconostasis and iconography of the mural decoration and the icons, clarification of their peculiarities, chronology and attributes in the context of the transition from the Middle Ages to Revival. The collected data on the overall decoration in the two temples were studied and analyzed using a methodology for the synchronous study of two nearby eponymous temples, similarities in historical fate, and iconographic content created in two successive epochs. Through a clear and purposeful scientific strategy, a detailed historical and documentary review and analysis of the early testimonies of the settlements and temples is carried out in the context of the unpublished documents for the two temples. It introduces a model for their simultaneous examination - a pioneering technique among the scientific researches in the specific field of knowledge in Bulgaria. The empirical part presents data about the history, architecture, frescoes, iconostases and icons in the temples of Dolna and Gorna Verenitsa. The research solves all the problems of dating and attribution of the frescoes and icons in the two monuments, with clear and reliable theories being proposed and protected by facts. The most significant contributions undoubtedly feature the new attributes and dated frescoes in both monuments.

На 10 декември 2018 г., 17.00 ч. в Големия салон на Българската академия на науките, ул. „15 ноември“ 1  Институтът за изследване на изкуствата представи изданието „Корпус на  стенописите от първата половина на 19 век“. Изданието е в резултат на извършените научни изследвания върху стенописната програма на църкви в България от първата половина на 19 век от колектив от специалисти на Института за изследване на изкуствата – БАН и сътрудници от университети и музеи в страната. Обемният том (900 стр., 1200 снимки от паметниците) е крайният резултат от проект, който се реализира за 3-годишен период с финансовата подкрепа на Фонд „Научни изследвания“ на Министерство на образованието и науката. Съдържанието на Корпуса включва 52 стенописни паметника, обособени в отделни корпусни единици. В увода към изданието, под формата на обща научна студия, са представени още над 40 стенописни паметника. В регистъра на църквите е дадена систематизирана информация за стенописните паметници, изписани от даден зограф, с цел да бъде улеснен читателят, търсещ данни за творчеството на определен майстор. Изданието също така има събрана библиография, иконографски двуезичен индекс (български и английски), за да улесни и чуждестранните специалисти в търсенето на определен сюжет или образ на светец.

На 20 декември 2017 г. се проведе публичната защита на дисертационния труд на Катерина Дюлгерова, на тема "Храмовете, посветени на свети Николай в селата Горна и Долна Вереница". Научното жури единодушно присъди на Катерина Дюлгерова онс "доктор" по Изкуствознание и изобразително изкуство - Църковни изкуства. 
The public defense of the dissertation of Katerina Dyulgerova, on "The temples dedicated to St. Nicholas in the villages of Gorna and Dolna Verenitsa", was held on 20.12.2017. The thesis jury unanimously awarded Katerina Dyulgerova a PhD in the study of Art and Fine arts, specializing in Church Arts.

Imago Mundi showcases the contemporary art of Bulgaria, eastern gate of the Balkan Peninsula and link between East and West, Europe and Asia Minor, the Danube and the Black Sea, traditionally a place of transit and of extraordinary cultural heterogeneity. Over 140 works of art that reflect the creative fervour and the imaginative, ironic, joyous and sometimes desperate Bulgarian identity that is currently under construction. A collection that brings together artists of different generations and with contrasting aesthetic ideas, painters with a classical approach to the canvas and contemporary artists for whom the canvas is merely a tool. Artists living in Bulgaria or who have left the country, teachers or students for whom the most important thing is freedom of speech and debate.

On Monday, August 31st, 2015, the Bulgarian contemporary art will be at focus in Venice with 148 Bulgarian contemporary artists exhibited at Fondazione Giorgio Cini, in the Map of the New Art - Imago Mundi Exhibition, an extraordinary event aimed at presenting an imaginary mapping of over 40 countries and regions in the colors of today’s forms of art!

Organized under the aegis of Benetton Foundation, in conjunction with the 56th Venice Biennale and the imminent 2015 Venice Film Festival, the exhibition will present the most outstanding and recent outcomes of the Imago Mundi collection, the first global project in contemporary art whose main goal is to draw an updated panorama of the contemporary art phenomenon worldwide on an original format of 10 x 12 cm canvas.
